‘Strictly 4 Birds’ is a small company manufacturing nesting boxes and transport boxes for birds and animals. When we looked at the options of getting a web presence, we found it very confusing, to say the least.
A lot of web hosting companies advertise from R30 per month right up to several hundred rand a month. What they don’t tell you is what is hidden in the small print; to design a web page, they normally start in the region of R2000 per page. The problem with a web page is that it is static, whereas our business is constantly changing; either new regulations set down by airlines for the transportation of animals and livestock, which means a blog would be ideal.
When going back to the web hosting companies, another bitter pill comes along in the form that you have to pay from R6000 upwards for a blog on your website. And to compound the issues they are very much user-unfriendly, which means you have to wait for them to do you a favor and do what you want them to do on your site or your blog.
With bundublog it’s a total different story. It is extremely user-friendly, very easy to navigate around and posting takes a matter of minutes literally. From the time of setting up a blog to posting, 10 to 15 minutes tops.
